In 2005, Connor Louden graduated from Parkersburg High School where he was an outstanding two-sport athlete. Louden excelled in both football and basketball during his days as a Big Red.
In football, Louden is one of the most outstanding kickers in the program’s 120-year history. He kicked 89 extra points during his career and 17 field goals. He still holds the record for extra point percentage (96.7) and has the longest field goal of 47 yards inside historic Stadium Field.
As a punter, Louden averaged 38 yards per kick and was twice named to the AAA All-State team. He is one of four kickers in the prestigious PHS Football Hall of Fame. He was also an outstanding receiver, hauling in 39 passes and scoring nine touchdowns as a senior.
On the basketball court, Louden is No. 2 on the PHS all-time scoring list with 1,279 points. He was the West Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year in the 2004-25 season. He played in both the 2005 North-South All-Star Football Classic and North-South All-Star Basketball Classic.
Louden went on to become a kicker for Ivy League member Princeton. In the ’06 and ’07 seasons, he was the team’s leading scorer. He was perfect in extra points both seasons. He is tied with three others for in the record book for PAT percentage in a season. As a Tiger he kicked two game-winning field goals. Unfortunately, he dealt with an injury much of his senior season of ’08.
He earned the Caldwell Scholarship, which goes to the top four Princeton athletes who are advancing their degrees. He graduated from the WVU School of Medicine, which was followed by a residency at the University of Virginia and a fellowship at Emory University. He currently has a neuroradiology practice in Atlanta.
